You want to do granular research on the Ottoman Empire and its successor states, but don't read Ottoman Turkish. Do you throw up you hands or look for a new set of powerful tools?
Not yet. I am exploring various possible structures, and seeking to engage Ottoman and Balkan scholars over the next couple of weeks. I have reached out to a number and am waiting to hear back. I will present options for the GitHub repository and its function within the proposed overall work process at the online session of the ai + history collaboratory [https://github.com/Addaci/ai-and-history-collaboratory/] on January 20th 2026 at which we will be discussing AI-enabled HTR, with the Ottoman use case as an importnat part of the discussion. The GitHub discussion needs to be part of a broader discussion about Skill Files markdown files as I am defining them (since they will be implemented via Claude.ai not Claude Code they are called less formally, but neverthless effectively). I have a detailed technical document which explores several possible architectures. The GitHub is at the core of my idea of engaging and involving the scholarly specialist and generalist community.
I’m interested in collaborating in this project. Have you set up the GitHub repository?
